UPDATED: Edna Chun Has Been Sent Packing

I guess it was a good thing that we told Chun to start packing a couple of days ago because word in the barrio is that her official "moving on to a better opportunity" announcement will be released this afternoon. Hopefully that gave her enough time to get her stuff in boxes.

I was planning on giving my fingers a break today, but news just doesn't wait, does it?

Joe Gallehugh has earned another $150 by issuing the following clarification:

Now I see.

Update 4:51

Here's the official announcement -

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro has exercised its option to discontinue the “at will” appointment of Associate Vice Chancellor Edna Chun.
Chun was employed in the position from July 6, 2011 to April 16, 2015.  Her salary was $141,625.

A national search seeking new leadership for UNCG Human Resources has begun. It is expected to take several months for a new associate vice chancellor for human resources to be appointed.

All human resources activities, programs and events will continue under Deb Carley, who will begin duties Monday, April 20, as interim associate vice chancellor for UNCG human resources.   Carley has 28 years of experience in higher education and in the private sector.  She will manage day-to-day operations in human resources until a new associate vice chancellor is appointed.

UNCG human resources reports to Charles Maimone, vice chancellor for business affairs.

I guess Chun is feeling the sting of an EPA position...she didn't even get the courtesy of a cover up.
